container Commands {container}... Specifies the ID number or numbers (0 to 63) of one or more arrays from which you want to create the multilevel stripe set. You can use up to 16 arrays to create a multilevel stripe set. All specified arrays must be the same size as the first container parameter and separated by blank spaces. Switches /stripe_size{=integer} Note: This keyword does not support RAID 50 arrays because RAID 50 arrays support only a stripe size of 64 KB. Specifies the stripe size for the multilevel stripe set. Valid values are 16 KB, 32 KB, and 64 KB. If you do not specify the switch, it defaults to 64 KB. /label{=string} Specifies a label to be assigned to the newly created multilevel stripe set. You can specify a maximum of sixteen characters for the label. If you do not specify the switch, it defaults to no label. If you do not specify a label, you can do so later by using the container set label command. Examples Before creating a multilevel stripe set, use the container list command to obtain information about any existing arrays. As the following example shows, there are two existing arrays (mirror sets) on this controller at the time the multilevel stripe set is created. These mirror sets were previously created with the container create mirror command. container Commands
{container}...
Specifies the ID number or numbers (0 to 63) of one or more
arrays from which you want to create the multilevel stripe set.
You can use up to 16 arrays to create a multilevel stripe set.
All specified arrays must be the same size as the first
container
parameter and separated by blank spaces.
Switches
/stripe_size{=integer}
Note:
This keyword does not support RAID 50 arrays
because RAID 50 arrays support only a stripe size of
64 KB.
Specifies the stripe size for the multilevel stripe set. Valid
values are 16 KB, 32 KB, and 64 KB.
If you do not specify the switch, it defaults to 64 KB.
/label{=string}
Specifies a label to be assigned to the newly created
multilevel stripe set. You can specify a maximum of sixteen
characters for the label.
If you do not specify the switch, it defaults to no label. If you
do not specify a label, you can do so later by using the
container set label
command.
Examples
Before creating a multilevel stripe set, use the
container list
command
to obtain information about any existing arrays.
As the following example shows, there are two existing arrays
(mirror sets) on this controller at the time the multilevel stripe set is
created. These mirror sets were previously created with the
container create mirror
command.
