The valid d ata of each barcode type is described below . If invalid d ata is inclu d ed in the barcode d ata string, the barcod e is not printed . H ow ever, w hen it is m ixed w ith raster bit im age d ata, neither barcode nor raster bit im age d ata is printed. t A barcod e is not printed w hen part of the barcode extends beyond the right margin. B t When barcode d ata and text d ata are m ixed in a data sequence, barcod e and text are printed in the same place. t The start and stop (*) characters of Code 39 are ad ded to hum an read able characters. t The initial data of Code 128 (Set A, B, or C) is identified as the first d ata of Cod e 128, and must be hexadecimal (41, 42, and 43, r esp ectiv ely). t When Cod e 128 Set C and Interleaved 2 of 5 are selected , barcod e data requires an even number data string. H ow ever, if an odd nu m ber string is sent, a 0 is autom atically ad d ed , m aking it an even number data string. t The barcod e print start position (except for POSTN ET) is alw ays 40/ 360 inch above the baseline.
