74 | Handling Paper and Other Media Using the Roll Paper Belt To keep the paper wound when you're not printing, use the roll paper belt included with your printer. Removing Paper from the Spindle If you need to remove the paper roll from the spindle, follow these steps: 1. Open the roll paper cover. 2. If the roll paper is loaded for printing, push the paper lever back to the released position, then roll up the paper before removing it. To keep the paper from unwinding, place the belt (described in the previous section) around the roll paper. 3. Remove the roll paper and spindle from the printer. 4. Set the spindle upright, with the white end on the floor and the black end at the top. 5. Slide the black paper stop off the top of the spindle. 6. Remove the roll paper from the spindle, and return it to its original packaging. 2-74

Using the Roll Paper Belt
To keep the paper wound when you’re not printing, use the roll paper belt
included with your printer.
Removing Paper from the Spindle
If you need to remove the paper roll from the spindle, follow
these steps:
1.
Open the roll paper cover.
2.
If the roll paper is loaded for printing, push the paper lever
back to the released position, then roll up the paper before
removing it. To keep the paper from unwinding, place the
belt (described in the previous section) around the roll
paper.
3.
Remove the roll paper and spindle from the printer.
4.
Set the spindle upright, with the white end on the floor and
the black end at the top.
5.
Slide the black paper stop off the top of the spindle.
6.
Remove the roll paper from the spindle, and return it to its
original packaging.
