1 ATTACHING ACCESSORIES Attaching the antenna Insert the antenna into the base of the SMA antenna connector and tighten the antenna. TIP: Third-party high gain antennas may increase transceiver performance. 5 D-STAR OPERATION (ADVANCED) EMR communication The Enhanced Monitor Request (EMR) communication function can be used in only the DV mode. Using the EMR function, no call sign setting is necessary. 5 D-STAR OPERATION (ADVANCED) Automatic DV detection If you receive an FM signal while in the DV mode, the "DV" and "FM" icons alternately blink to indicate the received signal is FM. Your position data Your station is automatically transmitted. Destination (ID-52A/E) 3. After receiving, the position data is displayed on position data, even if "GPS Select" is set to "OFF" or "Manual." Then, the transceiver automatically replies with a message, as described below.
