12 SET MODE Display Backlight (Default: Auto (DC IN:ON)) [MENU] > SET > Display > Backlight Selects an option for the transceiver backlight. •• OFF: The backlight does not light. •• ON: The backlight lights continuously. •• Auto: T he backlight lights when you push a key or rotate [DIAL], and reduces the brightness* after the set period of time in "Backlight Timer." •• Auto (DC IN:ON): The backlight lights when you push a key or rotate [DIAL], and reduces the brightness* after the set period of time in "Backlight Timer." When an external DC power source is connected, lights continuously. LLWhen using the GPS Logger Only mode, "Auto" is automatically selected. * When "Dim Screen" is set to "OFF," the backlight goes out after the set period of time in "Backlight Timer." Backlight Timer (Default: 10sec) [MENU] > SET > Display > Backlight Timer Sets the Backlight Timer to 5, 10, or 30 seconds.
