17 OPTIONS When using an application The following applications are compatible with the Android or iOS device. See each application's manual for details. Download the applications from your device. DDAbout compatible applications The following applications are compatible with ID-52A/ ID-52E. (As of November 2021) Android device RS-MS1A: You can use the extended D-STAR functions to exchange pictures or messages or display the received D-PRS station data on a map application. RS-MS3A: You can use the DV Gateway function. ST-4001A: You can make an image to be used for the Share Picture function, and transfer it to the transceiver. iOS device RS-MS1I: You can use the extended D-STAR functions to exchange pictures or messages or display the received D-PRS station data on a map application. ST-4001I: You can make an image to be used for the Share Picture function, and transfer it to the transceiver. DDRequired items Android device You can use the RS-MS1A/RS-MS3A/ST-4001A with devices that have Android 5.0 or later installed. LLThe applications have been tested with the Android 5.x.x, 6.x.x, 7.x.x, 8.x.x, 9.0, and 10.0. (As of November 2021) iOS device You can use the RS-MS1I/ST-4001I with devices that have iOS version 12 or later, iPadOS version 13 or later installed. LLThe ST-4001I has been tested with iOS 12 and 13, and iPadOS 13. (As of November 2021) Disclaimer •• The application may not work properly, depending on the OS version, installed applications, or other reasons. •• The indications or items may differ, depending on the OS version or settings. When using a USB cable •• Android device Android 5.0 or later with the USB host function. •• Cable (purchase separately) OPC-2417 data cable (USB micro-B/USB micro-B) or OPC-2418 data cable (USB micro-B/USB Type-C) TIP: The USB host function is needed to use a USB device with an Android device. To check whether or not your Android device has the USB host system, ask the Android device's manufacturer. When using the Bluetooth function •• Android device or iOS device Android 5.0 or later with the Bluetooth function. or iOS version 12 or later, iPadOS version 13 or later with the Bluetooth function. LLWhen using the RS-MS3A, you cannot connect an Android device to the transceiver through Bluetooth.
