Chapter 8 Troubleshooting Scanner is not recognized by the computer when using Kofax VRS. Is the interface cable connected correctly? Yes Is it connected via SCSI/USB Connector 2? Yes Is the SCSI ID set to a number other than "9"? Connect the interface cable correctly. For information on how to connect the cables, refer to "Connecting Cables" in No "Getting Started". Connect via SCSI or USB Connector 2. No Configure the SCSI ID to a number other than "9". No Yes If the above countermeasures do not solve the problem, check the items in "8.4 Before You Contact the Scanner Service Provider" (page 166) first, then contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.
