Troubleshooting Amber LED Conditions When the LED is amber, use the following table to determine the condition of the print server. Amber LED Status Print Controller Meaning Activity User Action steady amber performing self tests connection lost or the server is down check cable connections and server blinks rapidly performing self tests bad RAM chip detected call Authorized dealer blinks 4 times then pauses performing self tests Ethernet hardware failed check network one short blink then continuous ling blink performing self tests the ROM check failed call Authorized dealer blinks rapidly awaiting print jobs serious error call Authorized dealer steady amber receiving or awaiting print jobs connection is lost or server is down check cable connections and the server Troubleshooting 6-3
