Assigning Multiple File Servers Assign multiple file servers to the NC-2 print server using NetWare's PCONSOLE utility during initial installation or afterward. • During initial installation, assign multiple file servers to the NC-2 print server as part of the software installation. • Or, after initial installation is completed, use PCONSOLE to assign file servers to the NC-2 print server. To enable the print server to service the newly assigned file servers, turn the NC-2 print server power off, then on. How to Assign Multiple File Servers STEP 1 (a) Go to each selected File Server and create a NC-2 print server as described in Section 2, Installation. (b) Choose Print Server Information on the Available Options menu. STEP 2 (a) When the Print Server menu displays, press the [INS] key to display the new Print Server Name entry box. (b) Type in the name of the NC-2 print server using the serial number printed on the label located on the NC-2 board. (c) Type in the name as follows: NC2_ STEP 3 (a) After typing in the NC-2 print server name, press Enter. The Print Server Information menu appears. (b) Choose Print Server Configuration on that menu. (c) Choose Printer Configuration on the Print Server Configuration menu. A list of printers appears. (d) Assign the NC-2 to Printer 0. After you assign each printer a number, a Printer Configuration menu appears for the printer. (e) Under the field name TYPE, select Remote Other/Unknown as the printer type. (f) After you configure each printer, save your changes (when you receive the prompt) and escape back to the Print Server Configuration menu. A-3

Assigning Multiple File Servers
Assign multiple file servers to the NC-2 print server using NetWare's
PCONSOLE utility during initial installation or afterward.
• During initial installation, assign multiple file servers to the NC-2 print
server as part of the software installation.
• Or, after initial installation is completed, use PCONSOLE to assign file
servers to the NC-2 print server. To enable the print server to service the

STEP 1
(a) Go to each selected File Server and create a NC-2 print server as
described in Section 2,
