Troubleshooting Printer Basic Checklist • An error on your printer control panel may indicate a break in communication from the network to the printer. This may be a result of the network server going down, or from cables that are loose or disconnected. • Check to see if the printer control panel displays printer status, and be sure the printer is on-line. If the control panel displays an error, check error conditions and jam conditions in the printer manual. • If the printer is plugged into the power outlet and the printer is turned ON, try using another outlet. • If print jobs partially print, use the MAP browser to check parallel port strobe size setting. If it is set to 1, change it to 5. • Make sure that all your connections are securely fastened. • Make sure the file server is up and on-line. Printer Basic Checklist
An error on your printer control panel may indicate a break in

Check to see if the printer control panel displays printer status, and
be sure the printer is on-line. If the control panel displays an error,
check error conditions and jam conditions in the printer manual.
If the printer is plugged into the power outlet and the printer is

If print jobs partially print, use the MAP browser to check parallel

Make sure that all your connections are securely fastened.
