NetWare Configuration Configure Using NetWare 4.x NetWare Directory Services Using the Network Management Utility Follow the steps below to complete the configuration procedure using the Network Management Utility: 1. If you have not already done so, install the Network Management Utility on your system (see Installing the Network Management Utility, p. 2-6). Make sure the Printing system is powered up and connected to the network. 2. Start the MAP utility at a Windows workstation. The "WELCOME" screen displays (see p. 3-37). 3. Click server drop list box and select the NC-2 device you want to configure. The displayed NC-2 device names are NC2_. NOTE: The serial number is the 6-digit number located on the label attached to the NC-2 circuit board. To display detailed information about the individual NC-2 device(s), select "Options" from the main menu and then select "Show All"). The selected NC-2 unit's Main Menu appears. See p. 3-38. 4. Under the "Protocols" section of the Main Menu, click on "Setup NetWare." The NetWare Configuration Menu displays. Refer to the menu screen illustration shown on the previous page, as you follow the steps shown below. 5. Make sure that the "Enable Netware" checkbox is checked. X 6. To change the default Novell Print Server name from "NC2_ to a more descriptive name, edit the "Print Server Name" field. This name must match the Novell Print Server Object Name you will define when creating the object with NWADMIN or PCONSOLE. 7. Leave "Print Server Password" and "Password Retype" fields blank, unless you plan to assign a password to the Novell Print Server. Configure Using NetWare 4.x NetWare Directory Services
Using the Network Management Utility
Follow the steps below to complete the configuration procedure using the
Network Management Utility:
1. If you have not already done so, install the Network Management Utility
on your
system (see Installing the Network Management Utility, p. 2-6).
Make sure the Printing system is powered up and connected to the network.

Start the MAP utility at a Windows workstation.
The “WELCOME” screen displays (see p. 3-37).
3. Click server drop list box and select the NC-2 device you want to
configure.
