Troubleshooting Workstation to NC-2 Connection Checklist Workstation > Print Server > Printer • Using PCONSOLE from the Workstation print a file to be sure the print job gets to the Print Server print queue. If it is successful, the problem is not in the Workstation to Print Server connection. • Use NetWare's CAPTURE utility to send data from a Workstation software application to the Print Server Printer. See NetWare Print Server manual. • Verify that another printer is not taking the print jobs from the queue(s) BEFORE the Print Server can service the job. Disable the other printer until you can verify the Print Server printer setup. • Be sure that serial connected printers match the baud rate, flow, word size, parity and stops of the Print Server units. 6-12 Troubleshooting

Workstation to NC-2 Connection Checklist
Workstation > Print Server > Printer
•
Using PCONSOLE from the Workstation print a file to be sure the
print job gets to the Print Server print queue. If it is successful, the
problem is not in the Workstation to Print Server connection.

Use NetWare's CAPTURE utility to send data from a Workstation
software application to the Print Server Printer.

Verify that another printer is not taking the print jobs from the
queue(s) BEFORE the Print Server can service the job. Disable the
other printer until you can verify the Print Server printer setup.

Be sure that serial connected printers match the baud rate, flow,
word size, parity and stops of the Print Server units.
