Understanding Roaming Recognizing the Roaming Icon on the Display Screen Your phone's display screen always lets you know when you're off the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network. Any time you are roaming, the phone displays the roaming icon ( ). If you are roaming on a digital system, the roaming icon will be displayed along with the text Digital Roam. Tip: Remember, when you are using your phone off the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network, always dial numbers using 11 digits (1 + area code + number). Note: Unless your Sprint PCS Service Plan includes roaming, you will pay a higher per-minute rate for roaming calls. Roaming on Other Digital Networks When you're roaming on other digital networks, your call quality and security will be similar to the quality you receive when making calls on the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network. However, you may not be able to access certain features, such as Sprint PCS Vision. If you are accustomed to Sprint PCS Service, you may notice some of the following differences when roaming: ⅷ Some features which are standard on the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network, such as call waiting, Sprint PCS Vision, and direct international dialing, may be unavailable. 70 Section 2D: Controlling Your Roaming Experience
