Make sure the printer is on.

Lift the scanner unit.
The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the
printer is busy.

Press down on the lever to raise the cartridge lid.

Remove the used print cartridge.
To recycle the used cartridge, see “Recycling Lexmark products” on
page 79.
If the cartridge you removed is not empty and you want to use it later, see
