Monitoring and Configuring the Printer ❖ DNS server address selection msh> dhcp dnsaddr {dhcp | static} • Specify whether to obtain the DNS server address from the DHCP server or use the address set by a user. • To obtain the DNS server address from the DHCP server, specify "dhcp". To use the address set by a user, specify "static". 2 ❖ Domain name selection msh> dhcp domainname {dhcp | static} • Specify whether to obtain the domain name from the DNS server or use the domain name set by a user. • To obtain the domain name from the DHCP server, specify "dhcp". To use the domain name set by a user, specify "static". Reference p.114 "Using DHCP" p.63 "dns" p.64 "domainname" diprint The direct printing port enables direct printing from a network-connected computer. Use the "diprint" command to change direct printing port settings. ❖ View settings The following command displays the current direct printing port settings: msh> diprint Example output: port 9100 timeout=300(sec) bidirect on con multi apl async • The "port" specifies the port number of the direct printing port. • The "bidirect" setting indicates whether the direct printing port is bidirectional or not. ❖ Setting timeout msh> diprint timeout [30~65535] • You can specify the timeout interval to use when the printer is expecting data from the network. • The default is 300 seconds. 62
