Searching for a Number in Contacts You can search for a number in Contacts during a call. 1. Touch the Contacts icon. With Contacts displayed: 2. Touch the contact name displayed in the list to view the entry. The Contact information displays. Call Waiting You can answer an incoming call while you have a call in progress, if this service is supported by the network and you must have previously set the Call waiting option to Activate. For more information, refer to "Call Settings" on page 178. You are then notified of an incoming call by a call waiting tone. To answer a new call while you have a call in progress: 1. Press to answer the incoming call. The first call is automatically put on hold. 2. To switch between the two calls, touch either the In call tab or the On hold call tab, then touch the swap icon. 3. To end a call on hold, touch the On hold tab, then touch the End call icon. 4. Touch All calls, or touch the call you wish to end and touch Done. 5. Press to end the current/remaining call. Voice Recognition Nuance is an advanced speech software used to activate a wide variety of functions on your phone. Nuance software automatically voice activates (up to 2,000 contacts) for voice dialing and searching. No prerecording or training needed. Speak a contact name naturally to dial, and use your voice to look up contacts, launch applications and navigate phone menus. 1. From the Home screen, press then touch Applications ➔ Voice recognition. 2. At the voice prompt, say a command. The list of available commands is listed below.
