IPDS Interpreter license
FreeFlow Print Server support for IPDS is enabled with an
optional IPDS Interpreter License. When this license is active, the
following features are enabled on the controller:
The IPDS Interpreter
An IPS menu selection on the System GUI. This enables IPDS
to be invoked.
An IPDS graphical user interface to apply settings.
A TCP/IP socket to provide connectivity to a host system
storing the IPDS print jobs.
A Channel bus and tag or card.
IPS Manager
The IPS Manager selection on the FreeFlow Print Server System
GUI enables an operator to access management functions and
use them to configure IPDS options not otherwise available on the
controller. The main IPS components are:
File pull-down menu – Enables an operator to select and load
an existing job setup, to create and save a new job setup, and
to delete a job setup.
System pull-down menu – Enables an operator to go online or
offline, stop or continue jobs, cancel an incoming job, perform
system configuration, manage resident fonts, and capture or
playback an IPDS diagnostics trace.
Job Settings tab – Enables an operator to set up the following
for a specific job or class of jobs: Resource Resolution, GOCA
