Configuration Backup and Restore Backup and Restore The Backup Configuration option enables the Administrator to store some or all of the user-configurable settings on the Xerox FreeFlow Print Server. The Restore Configuration option enables the Administrator to select all or a subset of categories of userconfigurable settings that are restorable from a configuration archive. NOTE: The Backup option is for back up ONLY; it is NOT for Restore. The Administrator must access a separate option for the restore operations. The backup configuration allows for fast and efficient saving of user settings. XEROX recommends that you backup (save) your configuration under the following circumstances: • Upon completion of the initial configuration • Whenever user-configurable properties, such as queue or printer properties, change The Configuration Backup option enables you to select among categories like the following: • Queues • User accounts • Network Setups • Stock Database/Tray mapping • Stacker/Finisher settings • LCDS Resources • ICC Profiles/User TRCs Ideally, you should minimally backup your configuration at weekly intervals. Jobs can be backed up using the Print From File feature. CAUTION: The FreeFlow Print Server retains job ticket information as well as color information for each job. Backup and Restore
Configuration Backup and Restore
The Backup Configuration option enables the Administrator to
store some or all of the user-configurable settings on the Xerox
FreeFlow Print Server.
The Restore Configuration option enables
the Administrator to select all or a subset of categories of user-
configurable settings that are restorable from a configuration
archive.
NOTE:
The Backup option is for back up ONLY; it is NOT for
Restore.
The Administrator must access a separate option for the
restore operations.
The backup configuration allows for fast and efficient saving of
user settings.
XEROX recommends that you backup (save) your
configuration under the following circumstances:
Upon completion of the initial configuration
Whenever user-configurable properties, such as queue or
printer properties, change
The Configuration Backup option enables you to select among

Queues
User accounts
Network Setups
Stock Database/Tray mapping
Stacker/Finisher settings
