Job Notes window Accounting and Billing The Job Notes window displays accounting information as well as user information. The following accounting and user fields have been added and displays, exported, and printed as part of the accounting log. • Account Info • Account ID. • User ID. • Additional Account Information: This field will accept up to 255 characters. NOTE: These attributes are support by IPP, Reprint, LP, LPR and XPIF. Billing The Xerox FreeFlow Print Server maintains a billing meter for a number of billable events for systems configured with billing capability. A meter is a measurement of how many billable events took place. A billable event is a transaction performed on the printer for which Xerox charges customers. System Administrators and Operators can view and print the billing report. Specific customer information is retained upon system restarts. Retained information includes: • Queue name for printing the Billing Report • Customer ID (Customer Name) • Machine ID (Printer Serial Number) The Billing window displays the following information: • The date and time that the meters were read • Meter descriptions • Value information for the meters Customers print out the billing report and send it to Xerox. Xerox then generates a bill based on the customer's printer usage. This can be done automatically by using the Remote Services feature. NOTE: Meter names and what they measure vary by region.
