Maintaining the DuraStor Storage Subsystem Replacing the Disk I/O Card A failed disk I/O card must be replaced immediately. Note: The disk I/O card is not hot-swappable. You must power off the storage enclosure to replace this card. 1 Power off the DuraStor 312R. See Powering Off on page 3-54. 2 Disconnect the cables attached to the disk I/O card. 3 Loosen the two screws that secure the card. 4 Grasp the screws and gently pull the disk I/O card from the storage enclosure. 5 Align the replacement card with the rail guides of the open bay and push gently but firmly until the card seats completely. See Figure 5-9. Replacing the Disk I/O Card
A failed disk I/O card must be replaced immediately.
Note:
The disk I/O card is
not
hot-swappable. You must
power off
the storage enclosure to replace this card.

Power off the DuraStor 312R. See
Powering Off
on page 3-54

Disconnect the cables attached to the disk I/O card.

Loosen the two screws that secure the card.

Grasp the screws and gently pull the disk I/O card from the
storage enclosure.

Align the replacement card with the rail guides of the open bay
and push gently but firmly until the card seats completely. See
Figure 5-9
.

Tighten the screws.
