Powering On 1 Locate the PSUs' On/Off switches at the rear of the DuraStor 312R storage enclosure. 2 Turn on each PSU. 3 Locate the PSUs' On/Off switches behind the front bezel of the DuraStor RAID appliance. 4 Turn on each PSU. 5 Power on the host computer(s). Powering Off 1 Power down the host computer(s). 2 Gracefully shut down the controller(s) in the DuraStor RAID appliance by selecting Shutdown/Restart from the Utility menu of either the OCP or Disk Array Administrator. 3 Turn off the DuraStor RAID appliance's PSUs. 4 Turn off the DuraStor 312R storage enclosure's PSUs. Accessing Your Storage Management Tool If you have installed a DuraStor RAID appliance, you can use three different storage management software tools to help you create and manage your external RAID storage subsystems: s Storage ManagerTM Pro. See Installing Storage Manager Pro on page 3-55. s Disk Array Administrator. See Accessing Disk Array Administrator on page 3-56. s The Operator Control Panel (OCP) of the DuraStor RAID appliance. Turning On the Power
Note:
Ensure that none of the data cables or power cables
are obstructing the airflow exiting the cooling fan modules.
Powering On

Locate the PSUs’ On/Off switches at the rear of the
DuraStor 312R storage enclosure.

Turn on each PSU.

Locate the PSUs’ On/Off switches behind the front bezel of the
DuraStor RAID appliance.
4
Turn on each PSU.

Power on the host computer(s).
Powering Off
1
Power down the host computer(s).

Gracefully shut down the controller(s) in the DuraStor RAID
appliance by selecting
Shutdown/Restart
from the Utility menu
of either the OCP or Disk Array Administrator.

Turn off the DuraStor RAID appliance’s PSUs.
4
Turn off the DuraStor 312R storage enclosure’s PSUs.
