Connecting the sound cable The sound cable on your AppleVision 1710AV Display is a split cable with two connectors, one for sound input and one for sound output. Plug these connectors into your computer if you want to use the built-in microphone and speakers on your AppleVision 1710AV Display. 1 Plug the connector (marked by ≈) on the sound cable into the sound input port (marked by ≈) on the back of your computer. ≈ Connector - Connector 2 Plug the connector (marked by -) on the sound cable into the sound output port (marked by -) on the back of your computer. Connecting your keyboard and mouse to the display If you wish, you can plug your keyboard and mouse directly into the AppleVision 1710AV Display, rather than into the back of your computer. There is one ADB port on each side of the display for your keyboard and mouse (or any other ADB device). IMPORTANT Always be sure your computer is shut down before you plug in or disconnect ADB cables. 1 Make sure the ADB connector on the display cable is plugged into an ADB port (marked by V) on the back of your computer. For more information, see "Connecting the Display Cable" earlier in this chapter. 2 If necessary, unplug the keyboard or mouse cable from the ADB connector on the back of your computer. The sound cable on your AppleVision 1710

Display is a split cable with two

Plug these connectors into your computer if you want to use the built-in
microphone and speakers on your AppleVision 1710
AV
Display.

Connecting your keyboard and mouse to the display
If you wish, you can plug your keyboard and mouse directly into the
AppleVision 1710
AV
Display, rather than into the back of your computer.
There is one ADB port on each side of the display for your keyboard and
mouse (or any other ADB device).

Always be sure your computer is shut down before you plug in or
