2 Choose a screen resolution from the pop-up menu. Depending on which option is set in the Monitors control panel, the new resolution appears as soon as you choose a resolution from the menu or when you restart your computer. Changing color depth You can change how many colors or shades of gray your AppleVision 1710AV Display can show. To change color depth using the Control Strip: 1 Move the pointer over the color depth module in the Control Strip and hold down the mouse button. A pop-up menu appears. If you have one display attached to your computer, the menu displays a simple list of color depths. If your computer has more than one display attached, the menu changes to show a list of displays and color depths for each display. Note: The choices you see on the pop-up menu depend on what hardware you have and on the screen resolution you've chosen for your display. 94 Chapter 6
