Turning the display

Turning the display on To turn on the display for the first time: 1 Plug in the computer's power cord. 2 Press the power button on the front right side of the display. ® O ¤ Indicator light Power button Z Note: The display's power indicator light doesn't go on until you start your computer. 3 Start your computer and wait a few seconds. The power indicator light goes on. If the power indicator light does not go on, press the display's power button again. If this doesn't work, make sure you've connected the display cable and power cord properly (see "Connecting the Display to Your Macintosh Computer" earlier in this chapter). Also, make sure your computer is turned on and no energy-saving or screensaving features are active. When Energy Saver is on, the power indicator light on the display does not go on. For more information on Energy Saver, see "Conserving Energy" in Chapter 2. To make full use of the features available to you with this display, you must install the Macintosh software that came with your display. 14 Chapter 1

Turning the display on
To turn on the display for the first time:

Plug in the computer’s power cord.

Press the power button on the front right side of the display.
Note:
The display’s power indicator light doesn’t go on until you start your
computer.

Start your computer and wait a few seconds.
The power indicator light goes on. If the power indicator light does not go on,
press the display’s power button again. If this doesn’t work, make sure you’ve
connected the display cable and power cord properly (see “Connecting the
Display to Your Macintosh Computer” earlier in this chapter).
Also, make sure your computer is turned on and no energy-saving or screen-
saving features are active. When Energy Saver is on, the power indicator light
on the display does not go on. For more information on Energy Saver, see
“Conserving Energy” in Chapter 2.
To make full use of the features available to you with this display, you must
install the Macintosh software that came with your display.
