■ Winding the Bobbin Using the Spool Pin The main spool pin cannot be used to wind the bobbin while sewing. Winding the Bobbin Using the Spool Pin
The main spool pin cannot be used to wind the
bobbin while sewing. For details, see “Using the
Supplemental Spool Pin” on page 23.

Turn on the machine.

Open the top cover.

Align the groove in the bobbin with the spring
on the bobbin winder shaft, and then slide the
bobbin onto the shaft.

Pivot the spool pin so that it angles upward,
and then place the spool of thread on the
spool pin.

Make sure that the thread unwinds from the front.
