124 Experiencing Multimedia The recording length of MMS video is fixed. The recording will automatically stop when the preset length is reached. However, you can manually stop recording the video at any time. The time indicator at the top-right corner of the screen indicates the time limit. You can specify the encoding format to be either H.263 or MPEG-4 for the recorded MMS video clip. To do so, click the Tool icon ( ) to open the Camera Settings screen and then click Advanced > Capture Format to specify the file format. However, the ideal format for MMS is H.263 (3GP). After you capture the video file, click the Send icon ( ) to send the file through MMS. Use zooming Before capturing a still image or a video clip, you can first zoom in to make the object in focus appear closer, and you can zoom out to make the object appear further away. In all capture modes, press NAVIGATION up on your phone to zoom in, or NAVIGATION down to zoom out. The camera zoom range for a picture or a video clip depends on the capture mode and capture size. The following table is a summary. Please note the capture sizes available for certain capture formats also vary from one capture mode to another. The zoom range has been calculated based on the following ratio: • 1.0x = normal size (no zooming) • 4.0x = four times enlargement • 2.0x = double enlargement • 8.0x = eight times enlargement
