Troubleshooting Help Zone Software Problem Problem Power indicator light is illuminated, but some software won't run. Date and time are wrong. Your PC often hangs (becomes unusable) when running applications under Windows NT 4.0. You are unable to install a video driver under Windows NT 4.0. You receive the error message "some necessary system files are corrupted" To try and fix this ... • Refer to the application software documentation and/or the operating system documentation for guidance. • If the software is running but not functioning properly, try to save any unsaved data, then close down the application and relaunch it. If it still does not work, restart the PC and then try launching the software again. • Reinstall the software. • If the problem continues, contact the software manufacturer's support services. The date and time can be incorrect for the following reasons: • The time has changed to or from Summer Time. • The PC has been unplugged from the power too long, and the battery is discharged. To change the date and time, select Settings Control Panel Date/Time from the Start menu or use the Setup program (see page 22). If necessary, install a new battery (see page 63). Install more memory if required. It is recommended that you install at least 64MB of RAM to run Windows NT 4.0 on your PC. Installing less than this may cause problems running applications.
