Clearing Your PC's CMOS (BIOS) Settings Manually Clearing CMOS and Passwords 1 Remove the PC's cover. Refer to page 46. 2 Locate the CMOS jumper (J-6) on the system board. You may need to remove the PC's side panel to gain easier access to the jumper block page 48. 3 To clear both CMOS and password, set the Clear CMOS jumper (J-6) so that it covers the two pins on the opposite end of the jumper block. If you want to clear passwords only, locate the Clear password jumper (J-8) and set the jumper so that it covers the two pins on the opposite end of the jumper block. Replace the cover, reconnect the power cord, reboot your PC, then shut down your system before proceeding with step 4. Remove the PC’s cover. Refer to page 46.

Locate the CMOS jumper (J-6) on the system board. You may need to remove the

To clear both CMOS and password, set the Clear CMOS jumper (J-6) so that it
covers the two pins on the opposite end of the jumper block.
If you want to clear passwords only, locate the Clear password jumper (J-8) and set
the jumper so that it covers the two pins on the opposite end of the jumper block.
Replace the cover, reconnect the power cord, reboot your PC, then shut down your
system before proceeding with step 4.

Reset the jumper to the default position.

Replace the cover and reconnect the power cord.

Switch on the PC.
