7. To remove a printhead, lift up the blue handle. 8. Using the blue handle, gently disengage the printhead. 9. Gently pull the blue handle upward until the printhead is released from the carriage. CAUTION: Do not pull abruptly. That action can damage the printhead. 10. The front-panel display identifies the missing printhead. Insert a printhead The printheads come from the factory with Universal configuration. On installation, the printer configures each printhead to the color of the slot where it is inserted. Any printhead can be used for any color before installation. Once a printhead has been installed, a color is assigned to it and it cannot be changed. 1.
