Page 60 highlights

Chapter 5 Installation and Configuration CAUTION Handle disk modules carefully. They are more susceptible to shock, vibration, and electrostatic discharge when they are not in the cabinet. When removing a module while the system is powered on, disengage the module and wait for it to stop spinning before removing it from its hot swap shelf. Also, do not touch the SCSI edge connector pins. The oils on your skin could impair the electrical connection. Replace Cover If you removed the power supplies, replace them according to the instructions in your HP NetServer documentation. Replace the cover on the computer and reconnect the HP NetServer to power and networks. Step F. Boot HP NetServer Navigator to Launch HP NetRAID Assistant Boot HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM To launch the HP NetRAID Assistant, you must boot from the HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM. The CD-ROM drive must be connected to the embedded SCSI controller. Ensure that all the SCSI devices power up before or at the same time as the host computer. NOTE HP NetRAID Series adapters do not support bootable CD-ROM drives. The CD-ROM drive must be connected to the embedded SCSI controller to run the HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM. Boot Messages If you receive an error message during the boot process, refer to Chapter 11, "Troubleshooting," or to the online help in Information Assistant for more information. Some power-up (boot) messages are routine. 52
