Chapter 6 HP NetRAID Series Software Step L. Install NOS-specific Configuration Utility NOTE Skip this step if your NOS is SCO UNIX, SCO UnixWare, or Banyan VINES. For these network operating systems, the HP NetRAID Config utility was installed automatically with the drivers. In this step, you install the configuration utility specific to Windows NT, Novell NetWare, or IBM OS/2. • If you are using Microsoft Windows NT, you install the HP NetRAID Assistant utility. This is the utility you used to configure your system in Chapter 5. • If you are using Novell NetWare or IBM OS/2, you install HP NetRAID Config. Chapter 10, "Understanding HP NetRAID Utilities," has menu maps of both of these utilities. For complete information about these utilities, see the HP NetRAID Series User Guide in Information Assistant. Install the utility as described for the NOS version below. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 1. Select Start from the taskbar. 2. Choose Run from the Start menu. 3. Insert diskette #1, "NetRAID Assistant for WindowsNT and Windows95." 4. Type :\setup at the Open: prompt, where is the drive letter of the diskette drive you are using. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions. Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 1. Install NOS-specific Configuration Utility
NOTE
Skip this step if your NOS is SCO UNIX, SCO UnixWare, or
Banyan VINES. For these network operating systems, the HP
NetRAID Config utility was installed automatically with the
drivers.
In this step, you install the configuration utility specific to Windows NT, Novell
NetWare, or IBM OS/2.
If you are using Microsoft Windows NT, you install the HP NetRAID
Assistant utility. This is the utility you used to configure your system in
Chapter 5.
If you are using Novell NetWare or IBM OS/2, you install HP NetRAID
Config.
