Chapter 5 MtcDgs Messages IOPn.MtcDgs Status Messages IOPn.MtcDgs status: Datagram Service protocol version mismatch. Severity Error Description The Datagram Service running on the remote IOP is running a different Datagram Service protocol version. Any received datagrams are discarded. Action • Check the version of the Datagram Service running on the IOPs. • If they are not identical, reinstall the HP NetServer AA software. IOPn.MtcDgs status: Error accessing data in the Registry. Severity Error Description MtcDgs could not read the Registry during initialization; therefore, it could not determine which network adapters to open. Initialization was aborted. As a result, the driver did not load, and the IOP cannot join the HP NetServer AA server configuration. Action • Confirm the MtcDgs bindings are correct. • Use the Network Control Panel application to remove and reinstall MtcDgs. IOPn.MtcDgs status: Error in NIC bindings. Severity Error Description Too many Network Interface Controllers (NICs) are bound to the MtcDgs service. MtcDgs will use the first five bound adapters. Action • To correct this condition, modify the bindings in the Network Control Panel application. You must bind at least one adapter (and not more than five) to MtcDgs. One of the adapters should be the adapter used by the IL. • After you modify the bindings, remember to reboot the IOP so the new bindings can take effect. Refer to Chapter 9 in HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator's Guide for information about how to reboot an IOP. 91

IOP
n
.MtcDgs status: Datagram Service protocol version mismatch.
Severity
Error
Description
The Datagram Service running on the remote IOP is running a different Datagram Service
protocol version. Any received datagrams are discarded.
Action
Check the version of the Datagram Service running on the IOPs.
If they are not identical, reinstall the HP NetServer AA software.
IOP
n
.MtcDgs status: Error accessing data in the Registry.
Severity
Error
Description
MtcDgs could not read the Registry during initialization; therefore, it could not determine
which network adapters to open. Initialization was aborted. As a result, the driver did not load,
and the IOP cannot join the HP NetServer AA server configuration.
Action
Confirm the MtcDgs bindings are correct.
Use the Network Control Panel application to remove and reinstall MtcDgs.
IOP
n
.MtcDgs status: Error in NIC bindings.
Severity
Error
Description
Too many Network Interface Controllers (NICs) are bound to the MtcDgs service. MtcDgs
will use the first five bound adapters.
Action
To correct this condition, modify the bindings in the Network Control Panel application.
You must bind at least one adapter (and not more than five) to MtcDgs. One of the
adapters should be the adapter used by the IL.
After you modify the bindings, remember to reboot the IOP so the new bindings can take
effect. Refer to
