Chapter 7 MtcEthP and MtcEtx Messages IOPn.MtcEthP status: Timeout waiting for report primary message x (y). Variables x - the logical device identifier for this adapter (for example, Ethernet0) y - the Windows NT device name (for example, E100B2) Severity Error Description This message can occur if IOP communication is lost during Ethernet device failover. The IOP that lost network connectivity did not receive a message from the other IOP. The Fault Handler will deconfigure one of the IOPs. IOPn.MtcEthP status: Unable to set Ethernet multicast address list. Severity Error Description This message can occur during IOP joining, when the Ethernet Provider on the joining IOP attempts to set the Ethernet multicast address list to match that of the merging IOP. The Ethernet device on the joining IOP is set to failed. The Event Viewer Data section contains the Windows NT (NdisRequest) error code. This message can also occur when the Ethernet Provider is attempting to clear the multicast address list (after CE shutdown or when an IOP is disabled). Action Reboot the IOP. Refer to Chapter 9 in HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator's Guide for information about how to reboot an IOP. IOPn.MtcEthP status: Unable to set Ethernet packet filter. Severity Error Description This message can occur during IOP joining, when the Ethernet Provider on the joining IOP attempts to set the Ethernet packet filter to match that of the merging IOP.
