Chapter 3 Installation and Verification Procedure (IVP) Messages Types of Message The two types of IVP messages are: • Warning messages • Error messages Warning messages may require attention. A continued series of warning messages merits review to see if corrective action is required. Error messages indicate problems or report reasons why progress is not occurring. You should first make sure that the HP NetServer AAsoftware is properly installed according to the information described in the HP NetServer AA Solution Installation Guide. If the software is not installed correctly, take the appropriate action. In many cases, you can retry a test or reboot a component of the server. Otherwise, if the error continues to be reported, contact your service provider for assistance in resolving the problem. Several IVP messages may appear together. If multiple configuration problems are detected, look for related events that are logged during the same time frame. If the log details multiple problems, make sure that the HP NetServer AAsoftware is properly installed according to the information described in the HP NetServer AA Solution Installation Guide. If the software is not installed correctly, take the appropriate action.
