Chapter 14 MtcScsiP and MtcScsiR Messages IOPn.MtcScsiP status: DEVICEn location does not contain the expected device type. Variables n - the device number; for example, DISKn, CDROMn, TAPEn Error Description A device located at a configured SCSI address was not the expected device type. For example, the software may have been configured to expect a disk drive at a particular SCSI address, but instead, it encountered a CDROM drive. Action • Verify the HP NetServer AA configuration file is set up properly. • If so, check whether the installation of any new SCSI hardware devices or adapters may have caused a change in the physical SCSI address of a device. IOPn.MtcScsiP status: DEVICEn powered up successfully. Variables n - the device number; for example, DISKn, CDROMn, TAPEn Informational Description A configured device has been found and appears to have powered up without problems. Action No action is required. IOPn.MtcScsiP status: DEVICEn was not found, and it will be marked offline. Variables n- the device number; for example, DISKn, CDROMn, TAPEn Severity Error Description No device at a configured SCSI address was found. This may be because the device is powered off, not present, not connected to the SCSI bus, has failed, or is misconfigured, for example. Action • Verify the HP NetServer AA configuration file is set up properly. • If so, power off the IOP and verify the device is powered on, connected to the SCSI bus, and has not failed. IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Disk could not be enabled. Severity Error Description The administrator was unable to enable the specified disk using the HP NetServer AA Manager.
