Action • Make sure the disk is turned on. • If the disk is powered on, reboot the IOP that contains the disk, and break into the SCSI adapter's BIOS configuration program. • Use the program to set "Send Start Unit Command" for the disk. Do not set this option for SCSI devices containing removable media. • If all else fails, power cycle the IOP to attempt to clear the condition. • If the condition persists, it may be time to replace the disk, or contact your service provider for assistance. For example; it may be powered off, it may not be plugged into the SCSI bus, it may have failed, there may be a problem with SCSI termination on the bus, or it may be misconfigured. Action • Reboot the IOP, and verify the disk is powered on, plugged into the SCSI bus, and has correct termination. • If the condition persists, contact your service provider for assistance. 317
