Chapter 14 MtcScsiP and MtcScsiR Messages IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Configured ADAPTERx has different initiator IDs for bus BUSn. Use the BIOS setup program available via your SCSI adapter to reconfigure the initiator ID. The IOPs will not be allowed to join until this problem is resolved. Variables x - the adapter number; for example, ADAPTER0, ADAPTER1, ADAPTER2 n - the bus number; for example, BUS0, BUS1, BUS2 Severity Error Description Each configured adapter must use the same initiator ID for each bus, as does its remote peer. Failure to use the same initiator ID will prevent the IOPs from joining. Action • Reboot the IOP. • As the IOP begins booting, use the SCSI adapter's BIOS configuration software to set the initiator ID of the SCSI adapter's bus to the same value used for the adapter in the remote IOP. IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Copy for selected disk has not failed. Severity Error Description An attempt was made to use the HP NetServer AA Manager to restart a mirror copy that has not failed. This is not allowed. Action No action is required. IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Device DISKn has failed. See prior events for reason. Variables n - the disk number; for example, DISK0, DISK1, DISK2 Severity Error Description HP NetServer AA software typically fails disks for inability to complete read requests or write requests from the CEs successfully. Action Review the event log, looking for previous messages that describe the reason why the disk has been failed. 310
