Problem I replace the camera batteries frequently. Camera does not work well with regular alkaline batteries. Do not use ordinary alkaline batteries. For best results, use photo-lithium batteries or rechargeable NiMH batteries. If you must use alkaline batteries, use high-grade "ultra" or "premium" varieties (page 121). The NiMH batteries you are using were recharged incorrectly. When NiMH batteries are brand new or have not been used in several months, they will not reach optimum capacity until they have been charged and then discharged (used) completely 4-5 times (page 124).
