4 Accessing the Host Console This chapter describes several ways to access the host console of the server: This chapter addresses the following topics: • "Accessing the iLO MP Using the Web GUI" (page 39) • "Accessing the Host Console Using the TUI" (page 40) • "Accessing the Graphic Console Using VGA " (page 41) Accessing the iLO MP Using the Web GUI Web browser access is an embedded feature of the iLO MP. Before starting this procedure, you must have the following information: • DNS name for the iLO MP LAN. You can find this on the toe-tag on the server. • Host name. To interact with the iLO MP through the web GUI, follow these steps: 1. Open a web browser and enter the DNS name or the IP address for the iLO MP. 2. Log in using your user account name and password at the login page. (Figure 4-1). Figure 4-1 Web Login Page 3. Click Sign In. The Status Summary page (Figure 4-2) displays after login. Accessing the iLO MP Using the Web GUI
Web browser access is an embedded feature of the iLO MP.
Before starting this procedure, you must have the following information:
•
DNS name for the iLO MP LAN. You can find this on the toe-tag on the server.
•
Host name.
To interact with the iLO MP through the web GUI, follow these steps:
1.
Open a web browser and enter the DNS name or the IP address for the iLO MP.
2.
Log in using your user account name and password at the login page. (
