4. Disconnect the processor board or memory board from the system board by rotating the two corner latches 6 on the top of the board outward to a 90-degree angle from the board. 5. Grasp the two corner latches and carefully lift the board out of the slot. Note Avoid touching the component and connectors on the board. 6. Place the board on a flat, static-protective surface. Processor or Memory Board Installation: To reinstall a processor or memory board: 1. Locate the appropriate processor-board or memory-board connector on the system board. (Refer to the illustration in "Processor or Memory Board" on page 121.) 2. Hold the board that you are installing by the two corner latches 6 . 3. Slide the board into the appropriate slot guides. Note Be sure the component side of the primary processor board 4 is facing toward the adapter cards and the component side of the secondary processor board 5 is facing toward the memory board 3 . Attention Make sure you orient the board correctly before latching it into its connector on the system board. Failure to do so could damage the board or the connector on the system board. 4. Rotate the two corner latches on the top of the board until the latches are aligned with the top edge of the board (closed position) and the board is locked into place. Attention When you install processor boards or memory boards in the server, be sure that they are completely and correctly seated in the system-board connectors before you apply power. (The latches on the boards will be horizontal.) Incomplete insertion might cause damage to the system board or the board that you are installing. 5. Reinstall the board-support panel 2 : a. Align the board-support panel so that the tabs on the rear edge of the panel fit into the guide slots. 122 Netfinity Server HMM
