AC and DC Power Lights: These green lights provide status information about the power supply. AC Power Light DC Power Light Description On On The power supply is on and operating correctly. On Off Either the Power On/Off button is in the Off position (the DC Power lights on all the power supplies are off) or this power supply has failed (the DC Power light on at least one of the power supplies is on). Off Off The server is not connected to a working electrical outlet. Note: To ensure that the power supply is operational, both lights must be on. Also check the power up sequence, see "Power Up Sequence." Power Up Sequence: To check the power up sequence, do the following. 1. Power-off the server. 2. Disconnect the power cord and wait 10 seconds until all unit LEDs go off; then, reconnect the power cord to reset the power supply units. 3. Check standby mode (system is plugged in but not powered on). One AC Good LED on each power supply should be on and the control panel LEDs are off. 4. Press the power button on the control panel. The power supply DC Good LEDs will illuminate and the control panel power failure light (LED) will briefly flash yellow and the power-on light will turn solid green. 5. Check power-on mode for the following: Power supply fans and system fans are on. Power supply units are warm and the control panel power-on LED and the two LEDs on each power supply are green. Note If any of the two power supply LEDs are off in any of the preceding steps, replace the power supply. Hot-Swap Power Supply Installation: The server comes with two power supplies. You can add a third power supply to provide redundant power. Power Up Sequence:
To check the power up
sequence, do the following.
1.
Power-off the server.
2.
Disconnect the power cord and wait 10 seconds until
all unit LEDs go off; then, reconnect the power cord
to reset the power supply units.
3.

supply should be on and the control panel LEDs are
off.
4.
