Accessing server programs After you start the server, several prompts appear on the IBM logo screen. To access the Configuration/Setup Utility program, press F1 when the prompt Press F1 for Configuration/Setup appears. See "The Configuration/Setup Utility program" on page 20 and "Using the Configuration/Setup Utility main menu" on page 21 for additional information. To access the Diagnostic Utility program, press F2 when the prompt Press F2 for Diagnostics appears. For information on running the diagnostics programs, see "Diagnostic programs" on page 10. To access the utility programs in the System Partition, press Alt+F1 when the prompt Press Alt+F1 for System Partition Boot appears. Configuration overview
You play a key role in how the server allocates resources
to organize and interconnect hardware devices and
software programs.
This allocation process is referred to
as
configuration.
The steps required to configure the
server depend on the number and types of devices and
programs that you install.
The server supports PCI adapters and SCSI devices.
Because of this flexibility, you can choose from among
many adapters and devices.
In general, the greater the number and variety of hardware
devices and software programs that you install in the
