DVD Drive Note: You must wait approximately 20 seconds after you connect the power cord of the server to an electrical outlet before the power-control button becomes active. 10. See "Using the Configuration/Setup Utility program" on page 14 for details. To remove the DVD drive, complete the following steps. Retention latch 1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii, and "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 31. 2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables necessary to replace the device. 3. Remove the top cover and bezel (see "Removing the cover and bezel" on page 31). 4. Pull the blue retention latch forward and pull the DVD drive out of the server. To install a DVD drive, compete the following steps: 1. Slide the DVD drive into the server to engage the drive. 2. Replace the top cover and bezel. 3. Reconnect the external cables and power cords. Hot-swap fan The server comes with 80-mm hot-swap fans in front of the PCI slots and 92-mm hot-swap fans in front of the memory cards. The same removal and installation procedures apply to either size fan. When a fan fails or is removed, the other fans in the server speed up to maintain a safe operating temperature in the server until the fan is reinstalled or replaced. Turn
off
the
server
and

and

the
power

and

3.

top

4.
Pull
the
blue

latch
forward
and
pull
the
DVD
drive
out
of
the
server.
To
install
a

drive,

the
