Previous view 8 GPS OPERATION Checking your GPS position (Continued) DDAbout the Grid Locator Grid Locator (GL) is a location compressed into a 6 character code, calculated by the longitude and the latitude. The locator is simply calculated by dividing the earth surface into squares. It is used to find the location of a radio station.
