Previous view 5 PRIORITY WATCH VFO scan and a priority channel Checks the selected priority channel every 5 seconds, during a VFO mode scan. 1. Set the priority channel • To select a Memory channel q Touch the Memory channel number. • Opens the Mode setting window. w Touch [MR]. e R otate [DIAL] to select the Memory channel you want to watch. 2. Start the Priority watch q Touch [QUICK]. w T ouch "PRIO Watch." • To select a Bank channel q Touch the Memory channel number. • Opens the Mode setting window. w Touch [MR]. e R otate [DIAL] to select the Bank channel you want to watch. e T ouch "ON" or "Bell." • ON: When a signal is received on the priority channel, the channel is automatically selected. • Bell: W hen a signal is received on the priority channel, the "S" icon is displayed in the VFO screen. r The Priority watch starts. • The "PRIO" icon appears. Appears How to select the Memory and Bank: z In the Memory mode, touch [QUICK]. x T ouch "Bank Select." • The Bank list is displayed. c Touch a desired bank. • If "OFF" is selected, cancel the bank selection. • To select a Call channel q Touch the Memory channel number. • Opens the Mode setting window. w Touch [CALL]. e R otate [DIAL] to select the Call channel you want to watch. 3. Start the VFO scan q T ouch the Function group icon one or more times. • Selects the F-1 menu. w Touch [SCAN]. • Open the scan type setting window. e Touch the desired scan type. • The VFO scan starts. To cancel the Priority watch: Touch [QUICK], and then touch "PRIO Watch OFF." • In this case, the VFO scan is not cancelled. To cancel the VFO scan, touch [SCAN]. ☞☞Continued on the next page. 5-8
