Previous view 4 SCAN OPERATION Setting the temporary skip function This function temporarily skips up to five unwanted frequencies during a scan, for the set time period. This function enables you to temporarily skip the unwanted frequencies without the skip frequency setting. qqStart the scan. (p. 4-5) • When a signal is received, the scan pauses. wwWhile the scan is paused, and if you want to skip the frequency, touch [QUICK]. eeTouch "Temporary Skip." • The Temporary skip function is set. rrAfter setting the temporary skip function, the scan resumes. • The frequency will be skipped for the Temporary Skip time period. • After the Temporary Skip time period passes, or the scan is cancelled, the Temporary Skip is also cancelled. The Temporary Skip time period is set to "5 minutes" by default. You can change the setting in the Menu screen. (Scan > Temporary Skip Timer) For your reference: • Up to five Temporary Skip frequencies or memories can be set. When the 6th frequency or memory is set, the message window appears, and the oldest frequency or memory is automatically deleted. • During Memory or DR scanning, follow steps w and e to skip the channel for the set time period (Default: 5 minutes). • The Temporary Skip time period is set to "5 minutes" by default. You can change the setting in the Menu screen. (Scan > Temporary Skip Timer) 4-11
