5 Maintenance Automatic Restoring from a USB flash drive ■■Managing 2 or more VE-PG4s with a USB flash drive You can backup or restore the setting files for 2 or more VE-PG4s by making a separate folder for each VE-PG4. Before inserting the USB flash drive into the VE-PG4, make folders that are named the same as the MAC address for the LAN of the VE-PG4s that you want to manage with the drive. Example: Managing the 3 of VE-PG4s whose MAC addresses are as follows: ••A: 00-90-C7-00-00-11 ••B: 00-90-C7-00-00-22 ••C: 00-90-C7-00-00-33 USB drive (E:) bakdata.sav bakdata_1.sav firmware.dat bakdata_2.sav savedata.sav : For the VE-PG4s that do not have their own name folders A (other than B or C) loads the firmware.dat or savedata.sav in the root directory for its automatic restoring. A (other than B or C) saves a backup of the settings in the root directory. 0090C7000022 bakdata.sav bakdata_1.sav firmware.dat bakdata_2.sav savedata.sav : The specific folder only for B B loads the firmware.dat or savedata.sav in this folder for its automatic restoring. B saves a backup of the settings in this folder. 0090C7000033 bakdata.sav bakdata_1.sav firmware.dat bakdata_2.sav savedata.sav : The specific folder only for C C loads the firmware.dat or savedata.sav in this folder for its automatic restoring. C saves a backup of the settings in this folder. 5-12
