4 Configuring the PBX system Setting up the KX series SIP phones ■■Setting the Provisioning on the Embedded Web screen Enter the pre-provisioning (TFTP server) to the SIP phone, on its Embedded Web screen. The IP address of the SIP phone is required to access the Embedded Web screen. 1 Open the web browser of the PC that is connected to the same network as the SIP phone. 2 Enter the SIP phone's IP address, and then press the key. •• The login dialog is displayed. 3 Enter "admin" in the User name and "adminpass" in Password, and then click . •• The Embedded Web screen is displayed. 4 Click "Maintenance" in the upper right of the screen. 5 Click "Provisioning Maintenance" on the left side of the screen. 6 In "Standard File URL", enter "tftp://(your VE-PG4's IP address)/{MODEL}_{MAC}.cfg", and then click . Setting up the KX series SIP phones
Setting the Provisioning on the Embedded Web screen
Enter the pre-provisioning (TFTP server) to the SIP phone, on its Embedded Web screen.
The IP address of the SIP phone is required to access the Embedded Web screen.

Open the web browser of the PC that is connected to the same network as the SIP phone.

Enter the SIP phone’s IP address, and then press the <Enter> key.
The login dialog is displayed.

Enter “admin” in the User name and “adminpass” in Password, and then click <OK>.
The Embedded Web screen is displayed.

Click “Maintenance” in the upper right of the screen.

Click “Provisioning Maintenance” on the left side of the screen.

In “Standard File URL”, enter “tftp://(your VE-PG4’s IP address)/{MODEL}_{MAC}.cfg”, and then click
<Save>.
(Example: when the IP address is 192.168.0.1)

For the KX-UT Series, restart the SIP phone to load the settings from the VE-PG4.
Resetting a SIP phone to the factory default
If you need to reset your SIP phone to the factory default for any troubleshooting, operate the SIP phone as
follows:
KX-UT Series
1.
Push <Setting> or <Setup>.
2. Dial “#136”.
3.
Select “Factory Setting,” and then push <ENTER>.
4.
Select “Yes,” and then push <ENTER>.
5.
Select “Yes,” and then push <ENTER>.
• The SIP phone loads the factory default and restarts.
KX-HDV Series
1. Push <MENU>.
2.
Select “System Setting,” and then push <ENTER>.
3. Dial “#136”.

Select “Yes,” and then push <ENTER>.
