4 Configuring the PBX system Using the KX series SIP phones ■■The Button functions of the SIP phone (KX-UT series) Flexible button 1 ~ 24 ��� Functions are assigned on the VE-PG4's setting screen. (PBX Extension > Telephone (KX-UT Series)) LLThe assignable functions for the KX-UT136 are usable with other telephones (Example: KX-UT123) by dialing the special number for the function. Button Type One Touch DN Key External Call Status Call Fwd Always Call Fwd No Answer Call Fwd Busy Headset Other telephones Description - (Dial the preset number to the One Touch button) - KX-UT123N has 2 internal fixed DN keys - ✔ Dial the Special Number for Call Forward Always ✔ Dial the Special Number for Call Forward No Answer ✔ Dial the Special Number for Call Forward Busy - Valid on the KX-UT123N when a headset is connected Refer to the Operating guide for details on the flexible button functions. DN Keys ••You need at least 2 DN Keys, one for an incoming/outgoing call, and one to hold or transfer the call. ••If the number of DN keys is insufficient, you cannot hold a call or receive a new incoming call. ••On the KX-UT123 that does not have a flexible button, 2 fixed DN keys are internally assigned. When a new call is incoming while you are talking on the KX-UT123, you cannot answer a new call or hold the current call because of the DN key insufficiency. Hang up the current call to answer the new call. 4-17
