Installing Power and SATA Cables (Active Midplane Installed) Note: You will not use the long SATA cable from the 6th HDD kit in a system with an active midplane. OR If you have a passive midplane installed in your system, do the following: a. Install one end of the power cable to the power connector on the backplane and the opposite end to the power connector on the sixth HDD board (see letter "A" in Figure 80). b. Install one end of the long SATA cable (labeled HSBP/TAPE) to the sixth HDD board (see letter "B" in Figure 80) and route the cable through the air baffle (see letter "C" in Figure 80). c.
